Departure to Doi Suthep or Suthep Hill. Up on this mountain one day a white (sacred) elephant, in the 15th century, at 1,053 meters high above the sea level, was built a temple with the purpose to enshrine relics of Lord Buddha. Nowaday there are 2 ways to get to this temple : the first one is the easyest, by cable car. The second one is a little bit tougher by walking up the 300 steps stairway bordered with impressive nagas ceramic.

Back to the vehicle and get down from the hill and continue to Sankamphaeng road or simply called the handicraft road. Here are gathered all the artworks of Chiang Mai : Silk, Celadon, Precious stones cutting, Laqueware, Silverware, Teak wood working, Umbrellas and fans and more.
