WHAT & WHERE?
Thailand is divided
in 4 main touristic regions.
 THE CENTRAL PART
This large region offers main interests
in terms of cultural heritage going
from the imposing temples and palaces
of Bangkok to the world heritage sites
of Ayuthaya, Sukhothai – Sri Satchanalai
and kamphaeng Phet.
THE NORTH
This mountainous region is rich by its
natural landscape and its fresh weather.
The place has been selected by ethnic
minorities coming trough the northern
borders of Thailand. The north is the
centre of handicraft making of the country.
The typical way of life named “Lanna
Thai” where buddhism is an important
part of life had spread the reputation
of Chiang Mai all around the world.
THE NORTH-EAST
The region is 1/3 big of the country.
It alternates high lands of mountain
chains. It is the border zone with Laos
and Cambodia. Phimai, Phanom Rung are
the greatest example of the khmer heritage
of art and culture. Phu prabat, Baan
Chiang are the evidences of a past settlement
of ancient civilisations of the north-east.
THE SOUTH
This region is essentially surrounded
by the sea. The Gulf of Thailand and
the Andaman sea offer extraordinary
natural beauty with several islands
and sea-sides cities. It is ideal for
the one who wants realaxing hoildays
or the one who desires sport activities.
